William A. Martin, Ed.D., the Founder and Trustee, was born and currently resides in the Chicago-land area. He retired from Northern Illinois University (NIU) and Chicago State University (CSU). At CSU, he held various roles including Administrator, Course Developer, Researcher, Lecturer, and Grant Writer. Dr. Martin played a key role in budgeting, staffing, recruiting, marketing, and student curriculum development. He developed and taught courses in Community Development, Adult Education, Curriculum Design, Technology, Geography, and Criminal Justice. Additionally, he served as a Board Member of the Fatherhood Educational Institute for five years. Dr. Martin was also a Lecturer at NIU and sat on the College of Education's Advisory Board.
